The Alpine climate and regular daily schedule are conducive to physical development. Students who are sick are tended to by a registered nurse in consultation with Engelberg physicians.
The Stiftsschule takes care to provide a healthy, balanced diet. A generous breakfast provides the energy necessary to start the day. At main mealtimes, the monastery kitchens offer a vegetarian alternative to the main menu along with a salad buffet and fruit. Whenever possible, vegetables are organic produce from the monastery’s own gardens.
A mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack are also offered in the boarding school.
